Built by a mucosal immunologist

Tell us what you’re trying to understand. We read the literature for it every night.

Each night Research Monitor scans PubMed, bioRxiv, medRxiv, arXiv and OpenAlex for new papers in the collections you follow, analyses them and extracts their findings. The findings closest to your research aim lead your reading list. It began with mucosal immunology, IBD and celiac disease.

Free: one collection, the research interview and a personalised Today page. No card needed.

The research interviewExample
Research interview / Gut biologyExample answers
01Your aim
Understand how IL-15 licenses intraepithelial lymphocytes to kill the epithelium in celiac disease.
02Your context
Human duodenal IELs, organoid co-culture and refractory celiac samples.
03What matters
IEL killing that persists when IL-15 signalling is blocked.
04Less noise
Serology-only and dietary-adherence studies.

How personalisation works

Four questions.
Then we read for you.

Keyword alerts match words. The research interview asks what you are trying to find out, so each night’s papers are weighed against your aim rather than your search terms. You answer it once for each collection you follow, and you can edit it any time.

  1. 01

    Your aim

What are you trying to understand?

Matched, with your context, against the findings extracted from the collection’s papers. The only required answer.

  2. 02

    Your context

Where should we look more closely?

The systems, mechanisms, populations or methods that matter to your work.

  3. 03

    What matters

What evidence would change your thinking?

On paid plans it guides the daily AI brief and Ask, which keep contrary evidence in view.

  4. 04

    Less noise

    What should get less attention?

Papers closer to this than to your aim stay out of your top matches. Nothing is hidden.

Curated collections

Started in the gut.
Then the fields around it.

Our main collections each hold thousands of papers, scored and analysed by language models as they arrive. On paid plans, the main collections also come with a knowledge base and a reference library that grow with them.

  • Where we started

    Gut biology and mucosal immunology

Intraepithelial lymphocytes, tissue-resident T cells, innate lymphoid cells, microbiome–immune crosstalk, barrier function, IBD and celiac disease.

  • Spatial transcriptomics

Spatial methods applied to gut and immune tissue: Visium, MERFISH, CODEX, Xenium and deconvolution.

  • Single-cell foundation models

Foundation models and perturbation prediction: scGPT, Geneformer, GEARS, CPA and their successors.

  • Cancer cell therapy

CAR T, TCR-T, TIL therapy, T cell engagers and CAR NK, including solid tumours.

  • Immune engineering

Edited and synthetic immune cells: engineered Tregs, designed receptors, iPSC-derived cells.

  • Multi-omics integration

Multimodal single-cell profiling, atlas construction and reference mapping.

  • ML/AI methods

New architectures and training methods with insights that transfer to biology.

  • ML for biology

Protein structure and design, drug discovery and genomic language models.

Also available: a newer, smaller collection on sphingolipid signalling in immune cells.

Private projects

Research that crosses fields.

A project ties several of the collections you follow to one research direction and gives you a single reading list matched to it. Projects are private to your account. Linking more than one collection needs a paid plan, since Free follows one.

Licensing

We respect publishers’ licences.

Full text and figures appear only when a paper’s licence permits reuse. A paper with no recorded licence is treated as restricted.
